SPAR China organized the first Commercial Leadership Forum (CLF) in Weihai, Shandong during 27 to 28 April 2017. To deepen joint buying cooperation and coordination among regional partners, SPAR Collective Buying Committee was established at the forum. The Committee is made up of the heads of regional buying departments.
Chairman of SPAR China Mr. Wang Peihuan opened the Forum. He emphasized: “products shall be the core task for SPAR China management. We should give full support of collective buying mission, and combine all the forces of SPAR partners to develop our national suppliers. With China's growing economy, the middle and upper class have more disposable income. To meet increasing modern consumer demands, we have to establish international supply chain, offer more global food options, and adjust existing category structure. SPAR International is a global organization with vast resources and powerful connections. Making use of these resources positively and efficiently can improve the level of international supply capability. “
SPAR International Managing Director Tobias Wasmuht attended the meeting. He commented the key factors to collective buying success, shared the best practices of SPAR UK Collective Buying Committee and announced the work plan for future collective buying projects.
Commercial Buying Director of SPAR China Alex Yu talked about the five key work tasks over the next months in 2017, discussed potentials for expanding the cooperation among our regional partners in various fields, including national preferred supplier program, SPAR private label products (domestic and international), key categories, national events, and special training program.
SPAR China CLF offered all participants a great opportunity to share their insights and thoughts on collective buying, facilitating a positive sales growth for SPAR partners. The CLF concluded successfully.
