2014 SPAR Guangdong Employee Cooking Campaign finals was kicked off at SPAR South China Mall December 23, all competitors are top deli specialists at SPAR Guangdong stores. This is the ninth year of this campaign held in Guangdong with players’ professional technique and enthusiasm for gourmet as they always do.
All of the finalists were filled with enthusiasm at the outdoor arena in front of SPAR in spite of the cold weather on the day. The finalists were required to complete one appointed course and one free style course within 35 minutes. Each finalist has to select half-finished products and ingredients from SPAR central kitchen and prepare innovative delicacy with his technique on site.
Each entry is required to be salable at store level. The results will be assessed from color, smell, taste, shape, hygiene, story and practicability at store level. Xing He Cheng team won the championship, the team from Dongtai Store and South China Mall won the second place, while the team from Tangxi Store, Changping Store and Central Kitchen of SPAR Guangdong won the third place.
The production center manager and campaign organizer He Xuefeng said, this campaign is designed to encourage our people’s aspiration and passion for deli food and cooking techniques, so as to achieve our mission of “love life, love deli and love cooking”. The entrants from SPAR Xinji Store said, we appreciate this great opportunity offered by the company, we learned a lot from this campaign, it would be nice if it will continue to run next time.
