The opening of this flagship store in Chengdu in the province of Sichuan affirms SPAR’s continuing expansion in China marking the opening of the 215th SPAR store in China.

Ltd, a leading Sichuan based retailer joined the SPAR group to reap the advantages of international SPAR retail brand and benefit from the expertise of an organization with over 80 years experience and over 12,000 stores in 37 countries worldwide.
Mr Zhang, President of Dehui said at the opening of the first store: “Joining SPAR provides us with ability to improve our retail management skills, and the possibility to further grow our business. Work has already commenced on the development of a second store, a hypermarket of 8000 sqm. Furthermore support through the implementation of leading international SPAR supply chain best practices is also underway and SPAR International, supported by colleagues from SPAR China provide the management and operational systems to develop and grow the business.
Consistent to the SPAR voluntary chain system and principal, the ownership is 100% locally held by Sichuan Dehui Commercial Co. Ltd; one of the fastest growing retail chains within Sichuan with over 50 stores serviced by a fresh and ambient distribution centres and supported by 32 hectare company owned and operated organic farm. The family owned business started in 2000 and today employs over 2,300 employees.
