On August 28th, Deloitte China Best Managed Company (BMC) Forum and Awarding Ceremony kicked off in Hangzhou, a leading program of its kind in China to identify and recognize private companies based on their management systems.
SPAR partner Shandong JJY Group was awarded as the Best Managed Chinese Company of 2020, and accepted an interview with Harvard Business Review.
As one of excellent Chinese retailers, SPAR Shandong persists in its strategic development of regional intensive growth, urban-rural integration, and multi-formats. Taking supermarket as a core business, the Group now becomes a nationwide retailer with various business portfolios, multiple store formats, and a comprehensive supply chain.
Being a good neighbor for community residents, the Group was inspired by the concept of responsible retailing. A solid response mechanism was established in the Group to support fresh producers and growers in need, benefiting from their large-scale fresh distribution centers and increasing rural supermarkets.
In addition, the Group has established partnership with a large number of local growers and fresh producers to boost the sales of agricultural products and support poor families.
From Farm to Store initiative is a great success. SPAR Shandong owns and operates a strong logistic and supply chain system, which is a solid foundation for its fresh availability.
Obviously, BMC Award is a high recognition for SPAR Shandong excellence in business management. Looking forward, the Group shall continue to focus on retail business for service innovation, new retail technologies and state-of-the-art shopping experience.
