New Zealand's DHoM and NZTE Trader Commissioner Visit SPAR Store in Shandong
SPAR Shandong hosted a high level delegation from New Zealand Embassy and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to visit SPAR Jiajiayue Supermarket at Liaoling Rd., Qingdao, Shandong Friday, 2 June. Chairman of SPAR Shandong Jiajiayue Group Mr. Wang Peihuan accompanied.

New Zealand is the first western developed country entered MoU on the Belt and Road Initiative with China, the smoothly flowing of trade promotes the business growth between two countries. SPAR Shandong, as the leading retailer in Shandong province, under the Belt and Road Initiative, engages with international cooperation and oversea commercial tours, and takes this great opportunity to expand global sourcing channels, and to import quality New Zealand wines, milk formula and the most popular New Zealand products among Chinese consumers. The SPAR Jiajiayue Supermarket visit headed by Liam Corkery, the trade commissioner of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, was a positive result of SPAR Shandong’s contributions for China and New Zealand trade cooperation. SPAR Shandong earned highly importance and affirmation from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.  

Chairman Wang Peihuan briefly introduced the general situation of SPAR Shandong Group and showed the delegations New Zealand products merchandising zone in store. He said, “SPAR Shandong shall continue to deepen cooperation with New Zealand partners in retail and wholesale, to import more valued beef and seafood products from New Zealand based on our existing collective buying strategy.” Liam Corkery expressed his appreciation for SPAR Shandong’s support in the trade development between China and New Zealand, and expected to see continuous expanding of cooperation in trade for better future.

SPAR Shandong Group purchases valued products from over 20 countries from Europe, America, Oceania and Southeast Asia, including food, wine, home appliance, cosmetics, fruits, meat and poultry, seafood and more ranges. In addition, SPAR Shandong has set up an offline experience store showcasing a wide range of oversea products and supporting direct online ordering via its own-built e-commerce site, introducing in more original international products for Chinese consumers.
