SPAR and Austrian Ski Association ÖSV Support Young Talent in Snow Sports
In order to let children have fun out in the snow and to secure the next generation in snow sports, SPAR supports the Children's Snow Day organised by the Austrian Ski Association ÖSV. Kick-off was on February 5th in Seefeld, other destinations to follow. On this occasions SPAR provides SPAR Natur *pur organic products for lunch. As a 100% Austrian, family run company, SPAR has been focussing on the issue of child nutrition for many years.
This commitment ranges from the development of high-quality child-friendly food products up to communicating knowledge on a healthy diet. Under the motto "winning is in our nature" SPAR and the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) sealed their cooperation in 2012 and since 2013 SPAR Natur*pur has been acting as main sponsor of skier Hannes Reichelt. Now this partnership goes even further.

Recently Hannes Reichelt triumphed in Kitzbühel with our organic private label brand SPAR Natur*pur as main sponsor in Kitzbühel. Also in the future we would like to celebrate victories together. Therefore we need SPAR and Austrian Ski Association ÖSV support young talent in snow sports young athletes", says Dr. Gerhard Fritsch, Head of Marketing SPAR Austria, on the motive to extend the partnership between the organic private label brand and the Austrian Ski Association for three more years and add activities with the ÖSV such as the snow day for children.
SPAR Natur*pur organic lunch for our future stars Children from 3 to 10 years old can try varied sports during the children's snow day, from cross-country skiing to snowboarding. Even off-piste playful snow activities including sledging and bag slides were waiting for the children. Kick-off of the ÖSV initiative sponsored by SPAR was on February 5th in Seefeld in Tyrol. 300 primary school children from the region were participating. SPAR provided participating children with a SPAR Natur*pur organic lunch consisting of filled organic whole grain rolls, organic fruit, organic apple juice, organic yoghurt drink and organic cereal bars. For the safety of the children in the snow SPAR gave out reflective vests for every child.

In 2005 SPAR launched the initiative "SPAR nutrition today - for a healthy Austria". The goals: Attracting customers with an extensive offer of high quality private label products including SPAR Natur*Pur organic food, impart knowledge and information on food, nutritive values etc. through varied measures such as Rätselmania and make children sensitive to a healthy diet with the support of projects and associations and in that way contribute to a better quality of life.
